Less than 24 hours. Hang in there because the much anticipated 2014 ESPN The Magazine’s annual celebration of the athletic form, The Body issue hits stands tomorrow. This year’s issue will feature more than 20 athletes from a variety of sports on six separate covers; can’t decide whose cover to pick? Buy all 6—they are stunning. Some images and athletes featured this year have been pre-released and it is definitely going to be a larger than life edition. “We somehow manage to raise the bar each year,” said ESPN The Magazine and editor in chief Chad Millman. “This year’s collection of exceptional athletes and stunning photography showcases an array of sports and body types. It inhabits our mission to pay tribute to these athletes’ bodies and all they are capable of.”

But tomorrow’s release is also the perfect kick-off to what will be a big week for sports and entertainment fanatics. As this issue and the ESPY awards next week celebrate how sports impact mainstream culture—from newsmakers to fashion and tabloid headliners, now more than ever our athletes are our celebrities. On Tuesday, July 15th, ESPN will host the official BODY at ESPYS pre-party to celebrate the 6th annual issue, in conjunction with the ESPY Awards the following evening at the Nokia Theatre (televised 9 p.m. ET on ESPN/ESPN HD).

Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling recording artist and multi-faceted performer Drake will host The 2014 ESPYS so buy tickets or tune in to see all your faves flex down that red carpet…
