The World Champion Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles will face off on national television tonight as the Red Sox host the Baltimore Orioles for game three of a four-game series in which Baltimore took the opener 8-4 and the Red Sox won the second game 4-2.

There is probably more pressure on Baltimore tonight as starter Ubaldo Jiminez will try to avoid going 0-4 to start the season for the Orioles. Jiminez has been ineffective through his first three starts and carries a 7.31 ERA into the game. Jiminez will oppose Jake Peavy who doesn't have a decision while bringing a 1.93 ERA to the mound. The Orioles hurler will also try to break his recent string of poor outings against the Red Sox.

Despite yesterday's 4-2 loss, the Orioles continue to dominate the Red Sox and have beaten Boston 15 out of the last 22 meetings. Coming into the game, the Orioles are still trying to build offensive consistency. While Nick Markakis, Nelson Cruz, Matt Wieters and Chris Davis are hitting for average, they have not shown much power at the plate. Ryan Flaherty, J.J. Hardy, and David Lough are all in tonight's starting lineup, but all three are struggling mightily in the first couple of weeks of the season.

The Orioles and Red Sox will conclude the four-game series on Monday morning, a day in which Boston will host the annual marathon and mark the anniversary of the bombings that took place last year.
