If you live in Oklahoma, then you are used to watching the news on channels 4, 5, and 9. On Sept. 27, News Max posted about an escaped inmate who actually called 911 on himself to make sure he didn't get in trouble for the escape attempt. This story was all over the local news on television as they tried to find the inmates and then later located them.
Joshua Silverman was on a van when some of the inmates tried to hijack the van and get free. While they were at the hospital, they hijacked the van but Joshua did not want to be part of it so he called 911 himself to make sure they were located.
Eight prisoners were left unsupervised in a van while they dropped off an ill patient at the hospital. This obviously was not a smart move because they left in the van. When Silverman called 911, he explained that he did not want to get shot and just wanted the police to come and find them. They were all located.
