Erin McKeown comes to Ames on February 8

Folk pop/rock singer/songwriter Erin McKeown will make a tour stop in Ames on Friday, February 8, when she plays a show at the Maintenance Shop (2229 Lincoln Way) on the Iowa State University campus. Nova Scotian pop folk artist Jenn Grant will serve as the night's opening act. The doors at the M-Shop will open at 8:30 p.m., and the music will start at 9 p.m. Advance tickets for the show are $10 for the general public and $8 for ISU students. Ticket prices increase $2 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased at the Maintenance Shop box office or online through MidwesTix. This will be an all ages concert.

Fredericksburg, Virginia native Erin McKeown started her music career touring the Northeast while in college at Brown University. McKeown's reputation spread fast, and she now tours all over the world, opening for acts like Ani DiFranco, the Indigo Girls, Josh Ritter, and Andrew Bird. McKeown has played festivals like Bonnaroo, Newport Folk, Glastonbury, and Oxegen.
