Erin Fetherston's Fall/Winter collection is "charmed, I'm sure"

As the sun set on the first night of fashion week, Erin Fetherston, a 2009 inductee into the CFDA (and a 2007 Ecco Domani Fashion Award winner and CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist), rewarded the crowd that braved the cold, with a delightful evening presentation of her fall/winter collection.

Inspired by the legendary Barbizon Hotel, the collection found the perfect setting in the Great Room of the W Union Square. Guests sipped on champagne and listened to 1940’s inspired music, making this more of an elegant salon, rather than a typical presentation.

The models - homages to such classic beauties as Grace Kelly, Cybill Shepard and Edith Bouvier Beale - were styled by Soraya Dayani of Jedd Root and arranged in a 'class portrait' type setting.

Lace, embroidered organzas and metallic jacquards in jewel tones and large florals held court in unquestionably ladylike designs.

Simple, side-parted, sleek (sometimes pulled back and sometimes left down) hair was styled by Brian C. Hawkins of Salon Grafix and glossed by Clairol's Natural Instincts. And winged eye makeup by Lottie Stannard of Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and Miss Pop for Kiss Products, Inc. nails added an alluring air of privilege.

Little added touches of class by way of accessories like Selima by Optique framed glasses and delicate gloves by Hardly Alice, completed a very glamorous, yet innocent and youthful look.

The youthful look that graced the flawless face of Miss Kelly may have come from her remarkable genes and a life of ease. But these gals (while perhaps, similarly blessed) were no doubt aided by the latest trending skincare - Skyn from Iceland.

From head to Manolo Blahnik bedecked toe (with even the unmentionables meriting mention because they were from Cosabella), Erin's ladies could have more than a few Hitchcocks and princes "charmed, I'm sure".
