Erik Estrada deliberately wiggles toupee on live TV: Fans shocked (Video)

Usually when a man wears a hairpiece, he doesn’t really move it around to attract the ladies. That’s why when Erick Estrada showed up in front of the live cameras on Thursday night and starting moving his toupee on live television, it was a shocker. The star was a guest on the green carpet of the Latin Grammy Awards held in Las Vegas and like every major award show, the interviews were fast and feverish, but moving the hair is usually a no-no.

In what was a had to see moment, Erick Estrada calmly walks up to the microphone as he talks about being at the Latin Grammys and looking good for the annual show. The setting prior to the award show is pretty typical as he discusses the show and his delight to come to the event. That all changes abruptly when Estrada grabs his wig, one hand on each side, and starts jiggling the hairpiece back and forth with force. Horrifying the host who is interviewing him, she seems shocked and taken back, yet Estrada laughs. Of course she wasn’t the only one horrified as viewers watching the live feed also let out a gasp as it just seemed so out of place in such a glitz and glamorous moment.

The movement of the hairpiece being jostled from side to side definitely was intentional and the wrong kind of ‘moment’ every star hopes to capture on film. While the deliberate movement had most wondering exactly why Erik Estrada was at the show, it had some fans laughing as it was so startling, especially if Estrada is your childhood idol.
