Every mother wants her son to grow strong and healthy and be a blessing to society, and Erica Campbell, 40, of Mary Mary sent up a little timber asking God to be with her young son as he journey’s through life, according to the Christian Post, March 11, 2013.
“Sending up timber,” is a way of saying, praying (constructing) your way up to heaven in a lengthy prayer. Campbell posted her intimate prayer on Instagram for fans to follow.
Little 2-year-old, Warryn Campbell, III probably doesn’t understand the prayer his mom prayed, but hopefully he feels the spirit in which she prayed for him.
A few lines of the prayer are:
Lord I thank you that he will be strong and honest and true to himself.
He will be compassionate and loving yet firm.
Help us to raise him to walk in your design and purpose for his life.
The 3-time Grammy winner, Campbell grew up in a large family of nine. Her parents have been married and divorced three times, and it is reported that they are currently separated.
Erica and husband, Warryn Jr., have three children, Warryn, III is their only son.
The prayer Erica prayed for Warryn III can be used as a model for other mothers for their sons.
One of Mary Mary's latest singles is "Go Get It."
