Examiner (Anthony Bowles): How are you?
Jessie James: “I am doing very well!”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Jessie James: “Thank you so much! This is a very exciting time for us.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): What was Eric’s reaction to the news?
Jessie James: “He didn’t believe me at first (laughs)…He made me pee on another stick, and at that point, he knew it was the truth (laughs).”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): Eric completely adores you, what other type of sweet gestures does he do for you?
Jessie James: “Our relationship works so well, because I’ve never been that type of girl that needed flowers or presents, I just want attention…He does sweet things like breakfast in bed once in a while, but he knows that I don’t need that stuff…I am fine with being smothered with kisses and hugs from him.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): Your mother is very opinionated on the show; do you guys ever bump heads?
Jessie James: “Believe it or not, I cannot tell you the last time she and I had a fight, we just don’t get into all of that. We are so on the same page with everything, she a Taurus and I’m an Aries and we balance each other out so well.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): How essential was she to you during the wedding planning process?
Jessie James: “She was incredible, I am not a planner, and she stepped in and really helped me. I was so thankful to have her.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): How do you guys balance your schedules?
Jessie James: “It’s actually balanced out beautifully, it was a lot harder when I was touring and my career was going a lot stronger; but now that I’ve decided to take a break to focus on the recording instead of touring, I’m able to be at home with home. When he comes home from work, we are able to spend time together, and that’s important for us.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): I know that you love the Denver House; will that be the house that you guys will grow old in?
Jessie James: “Probably not…we would love to stay in Denver forever, but with the current home, we have already had some issues with security, but we have enjoyed living here, but I am sure eventually we will move.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): Are you afraid of the “Reality TV” curse, with so many reality television stars either breaking up or divorcing, are you afraid of that happening to you and Eric?
Jessie James: “Initially we both had reservations about doing the show, just because it’s invasive of your privacy and not because we’re worried about breaking up. I think 60% of American’s relationships are ending in divorce, and I think people just happen to catch some of them on TV. That will not be our case for sure…If you can’t make it through a couple of cameras following you around, then you probably shouldn’t be together.”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): You and Eric both support each other’s goals and career, and you didn’t have that before, how important is that for you now?
Jessie James: “I was in a serious relationship before and he was awful, and he made me cry right before I got on the stage to open for the Jonas Brothers and Eric is the complete opposite and very secure. I am really luck that Eric supports me 100%”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): What tips or advice would you give to newlyweds?
Jessie James: “Honesty…Be honest with each other, open book, don’t be shady. Don’t have passwords, it’s ridiculous…You’re married and everything should be out on the table and if you need to have passwords on your phone to hide from your partner, then that is suspicious. Just be honest!”
Examiner (Anthony Bowles): How would you describe this season, and what do you want the viewers to take away from the show?
Jessie James: “I just want people to know that it is a fun show; it’s romantic, emotional, and it’s funny. It’s all of the things that we are in real life, and I feel like when people watch this, they are going to feel good watching the show.”
