CMT artist Eric Durrance, founder and frontman for the Tobacco Rd. Band, is proud to announce that his four-man linep has been named the official band of an auto legend, thanks to their new affiliation with Trans Am Depot.
Regarding the coveted designation, "The band and I are so proud to be a part of such a American icon like the Trans Am," Durrance told Examiner.com in a Jan. 23 phone interview. "This car has been my dream car since the first time I saw it in 'Smokey and the Bandit,' and now ... it's back and more awsome than ever!"
In honor of the newfound partnership, the Tallahassee-based Tobacco Rd. Band players recently visited their local Trans Am Depot, where they shot photos for the cover of the band's forthcoming six-song EP.
"The people at Trans Am Depot here in Tallahassee Florida, are just as amazing as the cars they build," Durrance added, "and we are so honored to be chosen to help represent their brand. You have to check out the new Trans Am; it will blow you away!"
Tobacco Rd. Band's new EP is being produced by Durrance, who also is co-writer of the top-10 "Eight Second Ride" hit, which was recorded by Jake Owen. Among the tracks set for inclusion on the band's Where the Girls Are EP are the title cut and "Jesus and Guns," both of which were co-produced by Dave Fowler, as well as the radio-friendly, fun-in-the-sun "All About Me," which Durrance penned by his lonesome.

More about Eric Durrance & Tobacco Rd. Band
CMT touring artist Eric Durrance formed the Tobacco Rd. Band in 2010. The Tallahassee-born, four-piece band came out of the gate running and accomplished more in its first year than what some bands spend a lifetime trying to do.
Powered by the songwriting of hit-tunesmith Durrance, the soulful guitar playing of Lex Vance, the solid bass playing of Aaron Halford and the feel-good rhythm of drummer Joe Markham, the Tobacco Rd. Band has been a hit with country fans since the first time they stepped on stage.
Frontman Durrance, who opened for Jason Aldean and Lady Antebellum on the 2008 CMT Tour, returned to his Florida roots to create the musical entity that he has called his "dream team." Says Durrance: “These are some of the best musicians that I have had the privilege to share the stage with.”
With a nonstop touring schedule and regional radio success to its credit, Tobacco Rd. Band, in addition to performing its original crowd-pleasers such as "Stiff Drink," "Tailgate Saturday." "Boom!"and "Get A Little Loud," also performs the top-10 "Eight Second Ride" hit recorded by country singer Jake Owen, which was co-written by Durrance. The success of the latter song has opened many doors for Durrance & his Tobacco Rd. lineup and continues to be a favorite in the band's set list.
