On January 3, 2014, Eric Church released his latest single, "Give Me Back My Hometown." IHeartRadio has the exclusive premiere of the song; fans can listen to Eric's new tune here. The single will be made available on iTunes on Tuesday, January 7, 2014.
Regarding his new material, Eric stated in an interview with The Tennessean, "I'm interested to see what people think about them. I always say the songs are mine till the moment we release them, then they're the fans (songs). I'm very anxious. I have a lot of anxiety to see what people think about what we've done."
In a video posted in December 2013, Eric Church hinted that a major announcement would take place in January. The news of the "Give Me Back My Hometown" release means that Capitol Records will no longer be pushing Eric's song, "The Outsiders" for radio airplay.
"The Outsiders" peaked at number twenty-five on the Billboard Country Airplay chart after a steady climb since its October 28, 2013, release date. Although the single has surpassed several hundred thousand downloads and received rave reviews, "The Outsiders" is Eric Church's lowest charting release since 2008s "His Kind of Money, My Kind of Love."
Eric Church will release his fourth studio album, "The Outsiders" next month on February 11, 2013. The Cadillac Three will join him for an overseas tour kicking off February 24, 2014. Visit his official website for tour dates and to pre-order his new album.
