Eric Braeden’s curt response to a fan’s tweet regarding “Y&R” headwriter Josh Griffith’s resignation has fans wondering if Eric Braden will remain as the iconic Victor Newman on the CBS number one rated soap opera.
A fan tweeted on Aug. 15 asking Eric Braeden's thoughts on the writer controversy taking place at “The Young and the Restless,” Braeden responded, “let me just say, I’m very pissed off!!! Enough said!!!
Hot on the heels of Michelle Stafford’s exit as Phyllis Newman and the Katherine Chancellor memorial episodes dealing with the death of Jeanne Cooper, long-time “Young and the Restless” fans wonder if Josh Griffith’s resignation could be the final straw for Eric Braeden. In the past Braeden has made no bones about contract disputes and his displeasure with storylines. Many times contract negotiations between Eric Braeden and “The Young and the Restless” have come down to the wire, causing the character of Victor Newman to be off the canvas for many weeks at a time.
Will this latest blow to “The Young and the Restless” cast, crew and writers be enough for Eric Braeden to finally say enough and call it quits as Victor Newman?
