The event, this Sunday, Sept. 29 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. is open to members and guests. The suggested donation of $20 will benefit Friends of the Orphans, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of orphaned, abandoned and disadvantaged children through local support.
"This worthwhile event will bring the yoga community together to benefit orphans in South America. It will be the most fun, non-traditional yoga class anyone could ever take with two of Miami's best yoga instructors," said Group Fitness Manager Sonrisa Medina.
"A non-traditional yoga class is a very playful class that is not meant to be serious, but is more of a yoga celebration," Medina added.
"When is the last time you laughed out loud in the middle of a yoga class? On Monday, you'll be able to answer 'yesterday,'" she added.
The session will be led by Equinox yoga instructor Javier Lopez and Prana yoga instructor Richard Sherman. After a calming hour and a half of top-tier yoga instruction, guests will be welcome to use the luxury locker room amenities or grab a fresh-squeezed drink from the premium juice bars. Equinox's professional therapists will provide soothing chair massages after the session, and complementary babysitting will also be offered.
Equinox Coral Gables is located in The Village Merrick Park.
