Gearing up for show season? New to horses? Looking for that one piece of tack you just can't find? This is your lucky weekend!

Equestrian Exchange comes to Chalotte this weekend. This huge consignment sale held previously in Raleigh and Richmond has just expanded into the Charlotte area.

English or Western. Riding or Driving. Miniature to Draft. If it has anything to do with horses, you are likely to find it at the Equestrian Exchange. Overstrocks from tack stores, items from barn closings, riders changing disciplines, equipment for showing and trail trailing -- you'll find it all here. Unique to the Charlotte event, you may even find trailers, trucks and tractors.

The big event is being held Friday - Sunday, February 25 - 27 at the Cabarrus Event Center, a beautiful indoor facility just outside Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. Admission is free, as is parking. You will need to print a parking pass for SATURDAY ONLY.

The sale is open in Gold Hall 1, the building on the right as you enter the event grounds, until 9PM Friday night, 9AM - 9PM Saturday and 9AM to 4PM on Sunday. Some items may be discounted on Sunday -- if they last that long!

The Cabarrus Event Center is located at 4751 US Highway 49 North in Concord. Note: For some GPS units you may need to use 4551 Old Airport Road, Concord.

From I-85:

  • Take exit 58 (Concord Exit) and head south toward Concord.
  • Take highway 601 south to highway 49 east.
  • Go east on highway 49 for 2 miles
  • Cabarrus Arena and Event Center will be on your left.
