Equal Writes contest offers chance to showcase projects to film producers

The folks at We Make Movies and Duly Noted are offering filmmakers a chance to get their projects out there to producers with their new Equal Writes contest.

According to the organizers, its not just a screenwriting contest.

Described as "Scriptapalooza meets Project Greenlight meets Shark Tank" the contest is currently seeking feature-length script submissions that can be made for under $250,000.

Judges will narrow down the entries to a lucky seven who will go straight to the source and make their pitches.

At least one winner is going to get a $2,500 option, a casting director attached, and the business and legal setup they can use to go out and secure investors.

Here's the deal: seven finalists with seven scripts. Three producers hungry for fresh content. A chance to instantly get a green light in front of a world-wide audience, instant buzz around their project, and a team to make it happen.
