A one-hour TV special entitled “Epic RVs” will debut on the Destination America network on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 9 p.m. EST (8 p.m. CST). The “EPIC” TV series showcases a variety of elaborate -- and invariably expensive -- building projects and the companies behind them, from log homes and three storey houseboats to luxury yachts and geothermal heated lap pools.
On the upcoming episode, the team from Tremendous Entertainment takes viewers on a guided tour of a colossal quad-slide Class 8 toterhome -- produced by Doug Tolbert’s Powerhouse Coach -- a triple-slide Elegant Lady Lorenzo Edition motorhome manufactured by Frank Konigseder’s Liberty Coach and a quad-slide Prevost H3-45 bus conversion fashioned by Nelson & Evelyn Figueroa’s Millennium Luxury Coaches.
The Liberty Elegant Lady includes a Crestron integrated remote control system, Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances, 48 and 32-inch HDTV displays and the Liberty i-Link, which facilitates control of coach systems from anywhere in the world through an I-Phone or I-Pad. According to Konigseder, this is “what people who know top-of-the-line bus conversions and motorhomes have come to expect from Liberty Coach.” As if that isn’t enough, Liberty motorhomes also sport a signature $100K paintjob supplied by the internationally renowned airbrush artist Dean Loucks.
Millennium’s 45-foot-long, 55,500lb Prevost-based motorhome comes equipped with a Volvo D13 500 horsepower engine mated to a 6-speed Allison transmission and is outfitted with a vast array of luxury items from granite countertops and iPad controllers to a Tracstar in-motion satellite dome and Bose Lifestyle home theatre system. In January, 2013, the luxury motorhome manufacturer rolled out a series of YouTube videos that showcase the work of the master craftsmen at the Sanford, Florida-based RV business, a very savvy way of promoting the products that they build.
Dissatisfied with what the RV market had to offer, Doug Tolbert produced his first Class 8-based “Powerhouse Coach” back in 1998 and over a decade later his signature Ultra Line motor coach -- which can actually be walked sideways into parking spots -- is still a key sales driver in a product portfolio that has since been expanded to include trailers, toter trucks, special use emergency vehicles and pickup campers. Doug’s oversize Class 8 rigs have made a number of TV appearances. Most recently in January, 2013, when Powerhouse Coach made it into High Noon Entertainment’s “Mega RV Countdown,” a one-hour TV special which showcased America’s best motorhome mansions .
