Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two headed to the PS Vita (Photos)

Bringing Mickey back into the gaming world was exciting news to hear. However, the sales of the second title in the Epic Mickey series, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, did not meet the sales expectations that Junction Point and Disney Interactive Studios had for the game.

L.A. Times had reported the NPD Group sales data for the game in January and showed that it sold a mere 270,000 copies in North America from the time of its release in November 2012 until the end of the year. IGN reminds us that the original Epic Mickey title sold 1.3 million units during the same months in 2010. By the end of January, reports show that the sales came in at 529,000 copies in the U.S. This is still nowhere near the sales of its predecessor. Plus, the first game was only released for the Wii, while The Power of Two was released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii, and PC.

Later in January, Warren Spector's home at Junction Point Studios had its doors closed by Disney.

Today, Disney Movies UK's official Twitter account has announced that the game will be coming to the PS Vita. This is definitely great news to me. More titles for the system is a plus and I know that other PS Vita owners will agree. I will definitely pick it up for the Vita!

What are your thoughts on bringing this game to the PS Vita? Will you pick it up?
