Beginning in just a couple of days on March 5th and continuing until May 18th is the extraordinary International Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. Sponsored by HGTV, this event is not to be missed! In addition to the many great attractions already located at the park, this show of outdoor delights features topiary displays, outdoor kitchens, play areas for children, concerts, and so much more.

One of the most visible sights to behold at the Festival are the topiary displays located throughout the park, many of which are designed to look like classic Disney characters. These include but are not limited to Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, Phineas and Ferb, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, and the Lion King. In addition to getting pictures taken at the character greetings, one may want to get their photographs with these wonderfully unique displays.

One of the Festival’s highlights is the Flower Power Concert Series, which features many great performers from the 1960s to the 1980s. Starting off on March 7th is the Guess Who, best known for their song, “American Woman.” Samples of more great performances to follow include the Village People (April 11th to the 13th), STARSHIP (May 2nd to the 4th), and Chubby Checker & the Wildcats (May 9th to the 11th).

So be sure to check out more about this great Festival! And for more information, be sure to tune in to part two of this article!
