On Sept. 4, Epcot reopened its Fountain View, formerly a quick-service spot for ice cream, as the park’s home for Starbucks coffee and other products. Fountain View is the second Starbucks location at Walt Disney World Resort.
Although it no longer scoops up ice cream or serves sundaes, Fountain View does offer some Disney-made treats – a small selection of coffee-friendly goodies like cookies, brownies, cupcakes – as well as familiar Starbucks products. The latter will include coffee, espresso and Frappuccino-blended beverage, pastries and breakfast sandwiches.
Fountain View is located in Epcot’s Future World. The quick-service stop features a redesign intended to fit in with the area’s futuristic theme. The exterior keeps the Starbucks signage fairly subtle, and offers only one entrance for traffic flow. With its teal-blue color and wavy details, the interior picks up on Fountain View’s proximity to Fountain of Nations.
Fountain View has also been redesigned to accommodate a high degree of foot traffic. Like the Main Street Bakery, the Starbucks location at Magic Kingdom, there are two lines and indoor seating has been removed. Fountain View does have a small amount of exterior seating, pleasant enough on a good day but perhaps not the place to linger depending on Central Florida weather.
Disney has previously announced more Starbucks locations will come to both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in California.
