On March 12, Walt Disney World opened reservations for a new Epcot dining experience. IllumiNations Sparkling Desert Party will allow Disney guests to enjoy a spread of desserts as well as sparkling wines, all while watching Epcot’s nighttime fireworks show IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Parties will be held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at the Showcase Plaza from 7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The first party will take place March 15.
As befitting the park’s theming, the party will feature an array of international tastes featured in the park’s World Showcase pavilions. The menu, while subject to change, currently includes the following decadent delights:
- Italy: Tiramisu
- France: Vanilla Pot de Crème
- United Kingdom: Shortbread Cookies
- Morocco: Traditional Baklava
- American Adventure: Sugar Dusted Cronis with Strawberry Sauce and Whipped Cream
- Disney Parks ice cream novelties
- Lemonade, coffee, teas
- Sparkling wine from Washington State and Prosecco from Italy
IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party costs $49 for adults and $29 for children (ages 3 – 9). Prices include tax and gratuity. Admission to Epcot is required, and not included in the price. Reservations may be made through Disneyworld.com/Spring or by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.
The Epcot dessert party joins the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party at the Magic Kingdom in offering Walt Disney World guests the opportunity to enjoy desserts while watching the parks’ respective fireworks spectaculars.
