Epcot Flower and Garden sneek peek, part one: Behind the walls in Future World

If you've been to Epcot lately, you know there are still quite a few construction walls hiding the ongoing work that's bringing the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival to life. The event starts on March 5, and the work continues literally up until the morning that kicks off for 2014.

If you'd like to take a peek behind those walls and see what's currently happening in Future World, check out the slideshow accompanying this article. You'll get a few glimpses of the playgrounds that salute the Cars characters (Tow Mater and Lightning McQueen) and Monsters University favorites (Mike and Sully). You'll also get a look inside the Gardener's Palette, sponsored by Transitions Lenses. The color wheel inside this garden is especially lovely, and you'll also get ideas on what colors to use in your own garden to complement the various seasons. You can plant in spring, summer, fall, and winter in Florida, and the seasonal areas showcase appropriate plants.

There's one other spot in Future World that's not included in this slideshow, but you can jump here to view it. It's a very special spot because you get to be up close and personal with the topiaries for a unique photo opportunity with Goofy in a way that's never been done before. To peek behind the construction walls in World Showcase, go here.

The topiaries are particularly detailed this year. Jump to this article to see an example.
