On May 14, 2014, the nice folks at Walt Disney World have a couple of things planned for you and your family if attending the 2014 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is on your "to do" list. Beginning at noon, MousePlanet.com reports that children can learn all about square foot gardening for kids thanks to Rick Johnson. The course will be held at the Designer's Stage and repeated at 3 p.m. ET today. The same schedule will be observed on Thursday, for those who can't make it today.
Adults have several fun options to choose from during this annual event. Make your way over to the Festival Center at either 1 or 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday through Sunday, May 14-18, if you want some free planting pointers, or, if having a cup of tea is more to your liking, then sign up at the Tea Caddy now for a complimentary 20-minute English Tea Garden Tour courtesy of Twinings of London. But space is limited, so get your name on that short list now.
Thursday and Friday ushers in the most-waited-for-event of the 2014 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: The Gardens of the World Tour, a three-hour tour led by a Disney horticulturalist. The 9 a.m. to noon event will be held at Epcot, with ticket pricing listed as $64 per person, plus tax, which does not include theme park admission, which is also required. And you must be aged 16 or up to attend this phenomenal horticultural display.
Music, kitchen tips and garden innovations will round out the offerings for this event, slated to end on Sunday. Lewis Brehm will introduce guests to the latest innovations for the garden from his Greenhouse Stage location Friday-Sunday, offering two convenient time options: 11 a.m. or 2 p.m. ET.
Alison Victoria of Kitchen Crashers will be on hand at the Designer's Stage at noon and then again at 3 p.m. ET to work her magic for Disney's Epcot Flower and Garden Festival guests, and the evening will conclude Friday through Sunday with Alan Parson's Live Project in the Flower Power Concert Series.
And if you want to put some beautiful flowers and plants in your own home garden this May, be sure to check out the latest offerings from Southern Living Plant Collection, as the Atlanta Landscape Examiner has a complete trial garden growing and flourishing thanks to excellent products provided by this gardening company, so she can heartily recommend their flowers and plants without hesitation.
