Entry deadlines are nearing for state tournaments conducted by the Florida State Bowling Association and the Florida State Women's USBC Bowling Association, so prospective entrants should be making plans to compete.
Entry fee is $25 per person per event, with an optional all-events fee of $5. In addition, optional scratch competition is available at $10 per event, plus $5 all-events, but those competing for scratch prizes must also enter the handicap (90 percent of 240) events.
The tournament will conclude on the weekend of June 29-30, and squad times on each of the dates will be at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Entrants may bowl only once in doubles and singles, but multiple participation is allowed in team event, provided that no more than three members of a team bowl together on a subsequent squad.
The final entry deadline is March 30, and all entries must be submitted no later than the closing date. Official tournament entry blanks are available at most Florida bowling centers.
