Bravo is reportedly considering a new cast for season seven of "The Real Housewives of New York City."
Since the last few seasons have done so badly in the ratings, the network is reportedly thinking about giving all the ladies the boot and opting for an entirely new cast for the upcoming season.
“Ratings have dropped to just 1.134 million, which isn’t terrible. Bravo will be watching tonights ratings very carefully. If they continue to drop, the ladies know they will be replaced,” a network insider told Naughty But Nice Rob earlier this month.
“No-one is safe, including Ramona," the insider added. "Everyone is blaming the new girls, but lets remember that the long-time cast member haven’t been able to bring in viewers either. After tonight show, if the ratings decline, expect casting notices to go out."
In a second report by All Things Real Housewives on June 16, it was noted that the latest episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City" garnered just 1,125,000 viewers.
During the third and fourth seasons of the show, ratings were fairly good with an average of about 2 million viewers for each episode. However, after Bravo fired Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon and Alex McCord, that number dropped by about 500,000, on average, and has continued to drop as the episodes air.
