National Football League (NFL) Hall of Fame member and former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Deion Sanders, age 46, is under police investigation for assault on a Prime Prep Academy administrator, Kevin Jefferson, age 39. Jefferson has alleged that Sanders was verbalizing his displeasure regarding the students’ educational outcomes, Jefferson asserted for Sanders not to speak to him that way, and while in confrontation that Sanders walked up to him and grabbed him by the throat. Racial slurs again, as Italian gymnast, Carlotta Ferlito proves to be a spoiled sport:
On October 8, Carlotta Ferlito apologizes, via - what else? – Twitter, stating that she made a mistake and that she loves Simone.
What was the “mistake”? After Simone Biles became the first African American to win the all-around title at the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium last week, Ferlito made a comment to her teammate, Vanessa Ferrari, saying “next time we should also paint our skin black so then we can win, too."
Ferlito also stated, in her Twitter apology, that she was “too nervous” and “didn’t think” about what she was saying…but isn’t that subconscious thought. Like, what/how you really feel?
Finally, songwriter/record producer Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, on October 10, 2013. Along with mentoree/singer Toni Braxton, record producer Antonio 'L.A.' Edmonds’ is the 2508th star that has been issued in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In a story fit for a fairy tale, literally, actors Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin, meet while filming “Once Upon a Time”. The couple falls head over heels for each other. They announced their engagement on October 11, 2013.
