Inaugural Wine Zone Event features wine flights and culinary delights!

Get ready for the first annual Wine Zone, coming to The Sonoma House in Boca Raton on Sunday, Jan 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. This Sonoma-inspired journey will take you through a select itinerary of wine and food samplings, in true California style. And to accompany the fine wines, food stations will be dishing out delicacies specially prepared to match the wines, by some of the area’s top chefs, including Chef Angelo Morinelli of Segreto Restaurant, Chef Patrick Broadhead of The Max Group, and Sommelier and Private Chef Lee Blakley. Dessert stations will embrace the subtle-sweet sensations with dessert wines. Live music by Vocalists Tony Martelli and Bobbie Carson will provide the perfect backdrop, further enhancing the California afternoon theme. It all takes place at the Sonoma House, the beautiful new private events venue reflecting a California country villa, complete with tranquil gardens and a distinctive stone and timber architecture. And the best part – it all goes to a great cause! The event will benefit Cystic Fibrosis, in hopes of providing a stem cell treatment for local resident, Angelo DeStefano. A Silent Auction and raffle will also help raise funds. Items include various signed memorabilia for the sports fans alongside stunning wine baskets created with vintage wines, including 1995 and 1996 Silver Oak, private wine tastings, jewelry, golf lessons, a foursome to polo tournaments, sailing excursions and vacation packages. An array of amazing gift certificates to area restaurants, health and beauty facilities, and local businesses.

The Wine Zone is sponsored by Boca Locals, a web-based organization featuring upscale food and wine events). which is sponsoring the the event. “This first event from is honoring a friend who’s recent decline in health is literally breath-taking. The grips of cystic fibrosis forces itself on victims dwelling in the lungs, leaving them unable to breath without oxygen and, long term, Stem Cell Treatments” notes Shana Overhulser, who heads up Boca Locals.
