Rudyard’s Pub in Houston is preparing for yet another beer dinner, this time featuring beer from a brewery headquartered outside of Texas that is gaining popularity with craft beer drinkers in the state. Here is some background information:
Location: Rudyard’s Pub, 2010 Waugh Dr., Houston, TX
Date and Time: Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 7 p.m.
Shmaltz Brewing beers have been in Houston stores for some time now and most are familiar with its tongue in cheek “He ‘Brew” product line. Schmaltz also brews beers under the name Coney Island, but its He ‘Brew beers are the ones with which Houstonians are most familiar. Next week’s dinner will feature five of these delicious malt beverages:
- He’Brew Genesis Dry Hopped Session Ale
- He’Brew Nut Brown Ale
- He’Brew Hop Manna IPA
- He’Brew Death of a Contract Brewer Black IPA
- He’Brew Rejewvenator Dubbel Doppel
Each of the beers will be paired with a separate course in a meal fit for a Pharaoh. And to add to the fun, Shmaltz Brewing rep Zak Davis will grace Rudyard’s Pub with his presence, ready to answer questions, describe the beers, and cite passages from the Torah.
As with other Rudyard’s Pub beer dinners, space is limited and discounts are offered for early reservations. The cost of the dinner and beer is $45 if reservations are made by Monday, September 23, 2013. After that, the cost increases to $50. Reservations can be made by calling the pub at 713-521-0521 or by visiting the web site by clicking here.
Five delicious beers paired with equally amazing food is enough to make anyone want to cross the Red Sea without Moses as a guide, so click the link above or call Rudyard’s and make your reservation today. And enjoy the evening as Shmaltz Brewing’s Zak Davis delivers you to the Promised Land next Thursday.
