Enraged Michael Jackson fans say this is NOT it, believe 'This Is It' exploits MJ's death (video)

AP

The world was shocked on June 25, 2009, as news of Michael Jackson's untimely death was announced. Many are eagerly waiting to watch 'This Is It,' and had even lined up for hours for the chance to be one of the first to do so. However, there are many other Michael Jackson fans that are enraged over the upcoming film, 'This Is It', and have started a campaign in the form of a website to increase awareness as to what they believe is an exploitation of Michael Jackson's death through the release of the tour documentary. The fans believe, "The music industry wanted Michael Jackson LIVE. We wanted Michael Jackson ALIVE."

The campaign objectives are as follows.

Who We Are: Michael Jackson fans and friends from various countries around the world. Several of us were around Michael on a daily basis during the last few months of his life, witnessing several things that concerned us; some of us were fortunate enough to have known Michael for many years; some of us have already run many support campaigns, including the Invincible campaign in 2002; we all knew him personally. This is our last gift to Michael. We think it is what he would have wanted, to speak the truth.

Our Aim: It is our wish to help people understand where responsibilities lie, pertaining to Michael Jackson’s passing, in the hope that if they choose to watch the film, they will do so with critical eyes. We want to celebrate Michael Jackson and his amazing legacy, but we cannot do so until the truth comes out, justice is served, and the lies are exposed. We will do all that we can to achieve those objectives.

The movie is a lie. A lie to cover those who let Michael die. This movie is not a celebration. It's voyeurism. Those tour mangars makes me vomit. TINI WE ARE WITH YOU

I think that we should wait for the movie to come out before snapping to judgment. Michael may have needed this tour for financial reasons but he wouldn't have done the tour if he didn't want to do it. Yes, the rehearsals were grueling, but Michael was such a perfectionist that he worked hard, obviously too hard. His doctor is the one who failed him and nothing we can do will bring MJ back, so why not celebrate his life. YES, we wanted him LIVE & ALIVE, but we can't have that. I am devastated and will be for a long time, but I can't wait to see this film and celebrate Michael and his music.

um, i agree with red in phoenix. i think we need to first see the actual movie before we start judgment day. yes, i do believe its a way to cash in on his death and all, but i am a HUGE mj fan and i cant wait to see the movie, even tho i do kno its a money trap. i think the other 27 million or more fans out there are eager to see it too. i am still saddened to this day about his death, and i think it will be nice to see him in this last few days on this earth.
