Legendary composer Ennio Morricone will be making two rare appearances in America.
Morricone will play for the first time in Los Angeles at Nokia Theater L.A. LIVE on March 20, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. Ennio Morricone will not be performing solo, but rather with a 200-member orchestra and choir.
Ennio Morricone was born in Rome on October 11, 1928. His long artistic career includes a wide range of composition genres, from absolute music, which he has always produced, to applied music, working as orchestrator as well as conductor in the recording field, and then as a composer for theatre, radio and cinema.
Morricone has written music for more than 500 motion pictures and television series, as well as contemporary classic work. His music has been featured in movies such as: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, The Untouchables, The Mission, Exorcist II, Mission to Mars and many more.
Ennio Morricone has been nominated five times for an Oscar and has received an honorary statuette in 2007. He has sold over 70 million records worldwide during his career, including 6.5 million album and singles in France, over three million in the United States and more than two million albums in Korea.
