Hiring a wedding consultant, also known as a bridal consultant, wedding planner or wedding coordinator is no longer just for the wealthy. Brides and their families in the Philadelphia area turn to Renee Patrone of Events by Renee and her team of experienced, energetic, fast-thinking coordinators to help them pull off a flawless, stress-free wedding on any budget.
“As your trusted partner,” Patrone explains, “we’re on hand to help you sort through the options from the moment he asks to the moment you both say I do, if that’s what you need,”
For some, Patrone says, the worry is all about the small and large details the day of and week of the wedding brides. For those situations, Patrone and her team step in so the bride can enjoy her wedding and the days leading up to it, including her guests, her new spouse, so she can live her dream.
Patrone says her most popular product is the “week of” package. A bride truly appreciates leaving all the negotiating with vendors and confirming details to the pros, while she enjoys her special time with family and friends.
Patrone’s wedding planning services stop short of coordinating the marriage proposal, although she thinks it’s a great idea. Using a proposal planner is not unheard of, explains Elizabeth Carter of Bespoke Proposals. In fact, she shares, the idea of giving her a story as special as the ring is catching on.
For Patrone, a seasoned bridesmaid (12 times, to be exact), her enthusiasm for all things “wedding” and a job doing corporate event planning for a local magazine motivated her to make a career of wedding and special events planning. She has coordinated weddings in the Philadelphia area since 2007 and handles numerous events and fundraisers, including the National Constitution Center’s Glitter City Gala New Year’s Eve Party three years running.
