Bundle up and get out to enjoy winter in the park. The snow and ice combine to create some wonderful vistas that you won't see any other time of year. Grab a cup of hot chocolate or coffee to keep warm. Take your dog along and see what you can discover. Maybe you will find a shimmering palace, a sugar-glazed gazebo, or a ballroom, like Charles Ghinga.

Winter in the Park
Last night an ice storm came to town
And dressed the fountain in a gown.
Icicles hung from the trees
Like chandeliers out in the breeze.
Each statue wore a fancy dress,
A frozen garment for each guest.
A night of magic in the dark,
A winter ballroom in the park.
