Turner Park at Midtown Crossing is a great place to walk pets, play with kids in the open area, have a picnic. It doesn't get used as much as it should during the week but is really popular when a scheduled activity is happening. There are many activities that are free to everyone in Omaha whether living in the general midtown area or further out. The park has plenty of space to accommodate families, friends, everyone who wants to enjoy their community.
As the hot, humid weather starts to abate it's an even better time to get out and enjoy what's going on. For the week of September 2nd, 2013 here's what's going on at the park and nearby.
Wednesday, September 4th from 3-6pm get out for the farmer's market. This farmer's market is actually in the parking garage which means rain or shine it is easily accessible. The parking garage on 33rd Street by Wohlner's is where to go!
Friday, September 6th at 7pm it's another great FREE outdoor concert. Charlie Worsham, Eric Paslay & Danielle Bradbery are all expected to be their to delight the entire family. For those staking out a spot and arriving by 6:30 pm they can expect to hear performances by those from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
