Just because Christmas is over doesn't mean the partying has finished. New Years is just a few days away and it is always one of the biggest celebrations of the year. If you're like many people you tend to make New Years resolutions that all revolve around weight loss and exercising. Why not give your New Years resolutions a head start with some healthy and low calorie cocktails made with Slimfast?
DR Mixologist Darryl Robinson, the star of 'Drink Up' on the Cooking Channel has come up with three exciting new cocktails great for the holiday season that are easy to make, great tasting, forgiving to your waistline and made with Slimfast. First up the Chocolate Mint Oasis made with Slimfast limited edition Chocolate Mint Shake.
Chocolate Mint Oasis
4 oz. Slimfast Chocolate Mint Shake
1 oz. Orange-Flavored Cognac Liqueur
5 Mini Marshmallows
1 Orange Wheel Slice
Directions: Combine Slimfast Chocolate Mint Shake, orange-flavored cognac liqueur and ice; vigorously shake. Pour into a highball glass and garnish with mini marshmallows and an orange slice. For a virgin version, substitute orange-flavored cognac for freshly squeezed orange juice.
Instead of serving this drink individually consider making a punch bowl full and set on a table with small dishes of mini marshmallows and orange wheels and ice. Use a mini chalkboard with the name of the drink and instructions and let your guests make their own!
