As an instructor of floral design and European decoupage art, I always keep an eye on unique and creative event s featuring fantasy decoration and fancy floral art. As it is now a winter season and most flowers are out of season, I thought it difficult to find flower attraction at this time and felt like looking for winter illumination which attracts viewers.
Although I could not find any on-going floral events, I have found a unique leisure land which offers both fancy illumination and colorful flower field in the western district of Japan. By visiting this particular vacation land, visitors can enjoy natural hot springs and beautiful flower field to artistic illuminations with high-tech lighting system which brings visitors to a fantasy world.
There are lots of sightseeing spots and resort areas in Japan. Among so many famous spots, the one I am introducing in this section is quite unique and it offers a broad range of entertainment and amusement featuring natural facilities to highly sophisticated technology . The most famous attraction is artistic illuminations available in the winter season and also colorful floral field which offers graceful natural arts of live flowers.
This is a unique resort offering various leisure facilities as well as natural flower field so visitors to this vacation destination can enjoy themselves regardless of the season by relaxing in the spa, viewing well organized natural flower park, enjoying a variety of entertainment rides and even shopping at an outlet mall. Visitors can enjoy walking around in the flower field viewing well organized colorful seasonal floral art and riding roller coasters. After making such exercises, they can relax in the spa offered by Nagashima Spaland.
The flower field is also known as “Nabana no Sato” which provides visitors with a great view of seasonal flowers throughout the year. They can easily get to this floral park by bus from Nagashima Spaland in about 15 minutes. From March through May, various spring flowers are at their best. Among a variety of flowers, tulip field offers an outstanding view. From September through November dahlia and cosmos are blooming. In addition to outdoor floral field, there is a huge greenhouse which offers the fantastic floral show of variety of begonia throughout the year.
Every spring, this flower park hosts a flower festival which is said to be one of the largest scale of floral events in Japan. Once flowers are out of season, they offer artistic illuminations from middle of November through early March. Therefore no matter in which season they visit this resort, visitors never feel bored and they can enjoy a variety of attractions. For those who are fan of Mount Fuji which is the symbol of Japan, they can take a chance of using a unique moving observation deck offered by this resort.
Recently many mass media reports this vacation spot through papers and internet and it is increasing its awareness. The reputation from people who actually visited this resort is pretty good because they enjoy natural beauties offered by floral field and also hot springs as well as artificial beauty of fancy night illuminations.
