Enjoy another year at the Florida Strawberry Festival (Video)

The Florida State Fair is over but now get ready for the Florida Strawberry Festival, just in time for strawberry harvest in Plant City, Fla. The Florida Strawberry Festival in its 77th year starts this Thursday, Feb. 28 and runs until Sunday, March 10 with gates opening at 10 a.m. daily.

Visitors, tourists and locals can enjoy agriculture exhibits, commerce, industry, livestock, fine arts, horticulture, and crafts. And what is a festival if there is no festival food, rides, social events, contests, youth developmental programs, entertainment, parades, and strawberries galore. More than 10,000 acres of strawberries are planted annually in the local area to get ready for the annual festival.

For savings to the festival, purchase discounted gate admission tickets at select Sweetbay Supermarkets until March 10 - adult tickets $8 (ages 13 and up), youth tickets $4 (ages 6-12), children 5 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult. Regular gate admission is $10 and $5, for Sweetbay locations click ===> discounted tickets. Admission tickets and reserved seats for headline entertainment can be purchased online by clicking ===> Florida Strawberry tickets, at Amscot Main Ticket Gate located at 2209 West Oak Avenue in Plant City or order by phone 813-754-1996. Reserved concert seat tickets do not include gate admission. Ages 3 and up require a ticket for headline entertainment.
