If you're looking for a vintage getaway and experience what Florida was like back in the 1950's, look no further. Hollywood Beach offers family fun and excitement for all ages and a chance to go back to the good ol' days of yesteryear.
Hollywood Beach, Florida, features a variety of activities for people that enjoy the outdoors. The downtown area is filled with culture, including Art Deco architecture dating back to the 1930's.
The main Hollywood Beach attraction is the 2.5 mile-long, brick-lined, pedestrian Broadwalk. The promenade is lined with seaside shops and restaurants, bustling with joggers, skaters, and cyclists, providing an old-fashioned atmosphere. Visitors walking down the white sandy beach will discover nostalgic and colorfully painted lifeguard stations. Hollywood Beach provides a number of places that rent bikes, banana, beach cruisers, and low riders. In addition, Jet Ski and cabana rentals are also available.
Enjoy free concerts and live music events held throughout the year at the 500-seat Hollywood Beach Theater. Listen to the great oldies featuring your classic hits in a laid-back outdoor atmosphere. The concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. every night with no reservations required.
Another vintage spot is Le Tub, a former 1959 Sunoco gas station that is now a restaurant and made famous for its large burgers. GQ named their burger the "Best Burger in America." The restaurant is situated on The Intra-Coastal Waterway, providing guests with a breathtaking view of the waterway. Treasures collected decorate the indoor and outdoor walls of the restaurant. You can expect a wait to be served, but the hamburgers are well worth it.
