Enjoy a visit to Dublin on St. Patrick's Day with Bewley's Irish Tea and QVC

This St. Patrick's Day, experience the joys of Ireland with tea from Bewley's. With a cup of one of Bewley's signature black teas, you'll take a sip of delicious, hearty Irish flavor with a long, rich history.

In 1835 Samuel Bewley and his son Charles broke the East India Company’s monopoly on the tea trade by importing the tea themselves on board The Hellas clipper ship, the first ship chartered directly from China to Dublin.

Although tea was introduced to Ireland in the late 17th  Century, at the time Bewley took on this risky venture, it was not the popular drink it is today. Despite the challenges, the enterprising endeavor paid off well - it changed the taste of a nation and made Bewley’s a household name in Ireland. Their business continues today with Bewley family members still actively involved in operations.

A company with an impressive heritage, Bewley's carries forward its modern-day mission to support sustainable and fair trade practices. They work with certified ethical trading organizations and are committed to paying a fair price for tea they source. In addition, Bewley's supports the Rainforest alliance, a non-profit organization leading international conservation programs.
