Valentine’s Day is just a few days away. As kids we all traded cards and heart shaped candies for Valentine’s Day. Over the years those candies changed into more romantic meals. Lancaster City offers ideas and deals for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
Paris is widely considered one of the most romantic cities in the world. Start your day with a little Paris at Rachel’s Creperie. The Café is located at 201 West Walnut Street. There is off street parking located behind the Café.
Enjoy a five course romantic meal at Citronnelle, Lancaster’s own fine French restaurant. Begin your meal with either a Cold Vegetable Terrine or a Lobster Crème Croquette. After a salad, choose from a Tomato & Beet Risotto or the Crispy Skate Wing. The delicious choices get even harder with the fourth course. Chef Rafael has planned Wild Mushroom Vol Au Vent or Prime Rib Medallions. The final dish of the evening consists of either Coconut Tapioca Pudding or Dark Chocolate Olive Oil Gateau. Enjoy a three course Valentine’s Day special meal at The Cork & Cap Restaurant. Begin your meal with some Pan Seared Diver Sea Scallops or perhaps a Welsh Rarebit. Characters Pub is known for its pub-fare. This Valentine’s Day it will be served with a gourmet twist, such as Lobster Macaroni & Cheese. The pub is located at 38 North Christian Street. Why should Valentine’s be limited to a single day? Come back Saturday for the Vintage Valentine’s Day Tea. The 3rd Annual Sweet Relief: Benefit Bake Off will be held Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Sweet Relief is sponsored by Love 146 Lancaster. Love 146 is a non profit organization that is dedicated to fighting against child trafficking. The event will be held at the Trust Performing Arts Center, 37 North Market Street. Prices range from $20 for students/under 21 to $40 for a pair. Reserve your space before 9 February.
Reserve your space at Roaring Brook Market for the Valentine’s Day Couples Cooking Class. Learn to create a Kir Royale. Enjoy a selection of hors d’oeuvres. One hardly needs an excuse to make a trip out Fruitville Pike to the Ruby Tuesday. However, if you do then this week-long Valentine’s Day special will entice you in. From Monday, 10 February through next Sunday, 16 February, Ruby Tuesday is offering a lobster tail special. Add a broiled lobster tail to your meal for just $5.99.
