This is the time of year that Clevelanders and their families can enjoy a wide range of activities that celebrate the Fall season. Some of the activities that you will want to be sure to check out are the horse-drawn hayrides and the pony rides being offered by Ma & Pa's in Burton, Ohio on Saturdays and Sundays from now through October 27. Burton is approximately a 50 minute drive from Cleveland.
Ma & Pa's Located in the the heart of Northeast Ohio Amish country, Ma & Pa's is offering several activities to celebrate the Fall season including horse-drawn (a team of Percheron horses) hayrides (weather permitting) through the woods, pony rides for the kids, pumpkins painting, Haybale "Wipe Out" and the chance to pick your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Special Note: Guess what! The pumpkins come in a variety of colors including white, pink, green and blue in addition to the usual orange.
Visitors who sign up for the hayrides will also receive a free glass of Ma & Pa's homemade cider and a freshly baked maple scone.
Guests will also be able to purchase items like corn stalks, maple syrup and gourds.
Food like hot dogs, donuts and caramel apples will also be for sale.
And be sure to make a stop at Ma & Pa's Gift Shack which is located in an early 1820's log cabin. The Gift Shack offers country gifts, log furniture, items for fishing and hunting and unique gifts like chainsaw carved bears.
Hours for the hayrides are noon - 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through October 27. Remember, the hayrides are weather permitting. Pricing is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Parking is free.
