City Theatre, who is once again bringing their Summer Shorts: America's Short Play Festival back to South Florida this year, will be offering an evening of free play readings on February 1, 2013. The readings will preview the plays that might be chosen for the 2013 Summer Shorts productions.
Nearly 1,000 new scripts are recieve annually by City Theatre, penned by both established and emerging playwrights.
Up to six plays will be read by Artistic Director John Manzelli and a company of actors.
This event will take place at the Key Biscayne Community Center on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 6:30-8:30pm and will include a complimentary win and cheese reception. The audience will also be invited to engage in a question and answer session following the readings.
