The Saginaw Public Library is excited to announce a change to the Children’s area at the Library.
Children’s Librarian and Assistant Library Director Debbie Raindl removed all of the VHS children’s movies from the collection due to low usage. She donated these VHS movies to the Meridian Public Library in Texas where they still had a big need for VHS videos. The shelving that had once been used for children’s VHS video tapes was then filled with children’s DVD movies and moved to the regular DVD collection area.
The Library’s children’s area received a fresh look with a new floor mat of Eric Carle’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” for kids to play and read on.
The Library aims to add filtered and restricted internet access to the children’s area in the near future.
