Students of Engineering Science will study subjects such as Chemistry, Static, Quantum Mechanics, and Electrical Science. Students can also choose from a variety of courses in Engineering , Physics, and Chemistry to customize their degree to their particular interests.
Because of the diversity of this field of study, graduates often find themselves qualified for a variety of jobs on the cutting edge of science. Many Engineering Science graduates work with the world’s top aerospace firms. Because of their diverse educational experience, they are often liaisons between different design departments. They also work on coordinating projects and as upper level design team members.
Recently, Engineering science graduates have worked on designing the overall systems and launch mechanisms of several of the satellites currently in orbit. Currently, graduates are working for a variety of companies, including private space exploration firms.
Of course, graduates are not limited only to this particular field. Some graduates go on to work in the field of biomedical engineering. They have used their background in electrical engineering, biochemistry, and mechanical engineering to design to work on teams designing everything from nanotechnology to prosthetic limbs.
Another common field of work for graduates of Engineering Science is robotics. While some of students choose to add extra computer programming courses as elective credits, others choose to focus on the mechanical design of these machines. Graduates are commonly employed as team members that can coordinate between computer programmers and the mechanical designers by companies such as Google, Apple, and L3.
Engineering Science graduates are in high demand by companies that do everything from deign electronics to drilling for oil. The degree’s concentration on the fundamentals of engineering make its graduates ideal job candidates for large companies with large Research and Design facilities.
