I received an email from fellow cyclist, Bill Kornrumpf, asking me if I would do a post about his slide talk presentation about his unsupported bicycle ride he did during the summer of 2011. Of course, as an avid cyclist, I was happy to oblige. So, here it is...
Bill Kornrumpf will be presenting a slide talk of his “Engineer’s Ride Across the US” transcontinental unsupported bicycle ride during the summer of 2011.
The presentation will be at the Friends of the Library
Noontime series
McChesney Room
Main Branch of the Schenectady County Public Library
on Monday, April 2, 2012
Bill rode from Oceanside, Oregon to Cape Cod during the summer as a way to see much of the country that he had not experienced in the past. The bicycle was an excellent way to meet the local residents of many of the small towns along the way. He had time to visit museums and friends along the way and document the trip with photographs and a web journal at www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/korntour2011 . As a solitary unsupported rider, he was able to meet many people along the way. He will be talking about his trip preparation and the interactions with the many people he met along the ride.
Cycle On!
