Calling all soon-to-be brides & grooms! When I sat down with the VP of trend merchandising and fashion direction for BELK, Arlene Goldstein, at Crabtree Valley Mall in early January to preview the must-haves for the upcoming Spring season, she mentioned BELK's Engagement Party. Since I am a very much single gal at the moment (yes, sore subject), I didn't take much interest as I am automatically barred from what sounds like will be a grand occasion. Although still a little bitter, I am writing about it nonetheless for all you happily engaged couples!
Tonight, Thursday, Feb. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m., brides and grooms-to-be are invited to their local BELK store, in this case, The Streets at Southpoint or Crabtree Valley Mall, for a fun-filled engagement party featuring free food, entertainment, beverages and fabulous freebees.
Even better (this is where brides can let out a "sigh" of relief), each store's certified bridal consultants will be on-hand to give you advice and help you and your fiance determine what items you need for your new life together. Consultants will provide all couples with a Wedding Registry Planner and help them create a personal registry for their gift selections, including fine and casual china, silverware, crystal, cookware, kitchen essentials, bedding, bath and more!
Those who actually sign up for a new wedding registry at Belk or add items to an existing registry are eligible for a $25 Belk gift card and the chance to win the following prizes:
