After you read this quick article, you might like to see the recipe for a five minute pre-workout, weight-loss and energy meal on my Fitness Page.
If you drink coffee, you might like to try this energy-boosting and muscle-building drink. It's simple, especially if you make coffee at home.
Usually there is something left over from a full pot of coffee.
Put it into a glass jar and store it in the refrigerator. When you need a hit of coffee or want a different way to get some protein, put the cold coffee into a blender along with some ice cubes and a scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder (concentrate). It turns into, like, a milkshake or smoothie (I guess, I've never had a smoothie).
Here's what I do
I mix the coffee and protein in the blender and pour it into a small bottle and put it into the freezer. But I leave a little space above the mix in the bottle.
In the morning I take the frozen stuff and pour coffee or coffee /protein to top off the bottle and take it with me to the gym.
Speaking for myself and other fitness addicts
It helps to have something I do that is part of my routine, like the coffee drink. I don't know why it helps, I think it's because it has helped me to become programmed to workout.
Programmed might sound like an odd term to use about fitness, but I can tell you that I, and many other people I run across at gyms, are programmed to the point that the fitness lifestyle really is their lifestyle.
Besides, I like coffee and chocolate protein. I think you always have to try stuff until you find something you like in general, and then work on it just like any recipe by adding your personal touches.
Think about it.
