I was a little skeptical when I found out that Sail to Sable, a brand known for their colorful Cape Cod style tunics, was now planning to transition into Fall. This month, the company launched their Corduroy Collection bringing a touch of warmth to their festive summer styles.
Well, I'll be the judge of how effective they are in this endevour!
This past week I was able to test out "The Katie" one of 4 color combinations in the collection. This was comprised of a lilac blue shade as the base of the tunic, and a lime green trim. Unlike the horrible corduroy of my childhood, this dress wasn't bulky -- but beautifully soft and thin enough to be comfortable and still warm. I could easily imagine myself wearing this outfit with boots and maybe even a pair of lightly colored tights.
All corduroy tunics inspire a summer spirit throughout the colder months of the year. The pastels are reminiscent of pale pink peonies, bright watermelons, and violet sunsets (also available in the popular navy/cream and blue/aqua). You’ll recognize the signature Sail to Sable neck and skirt trimming in new neon and mint palettes.
All tunics are available online at www.sailtosable.com from sizes XXS-XL. Each tunic is $198 and comes in cotton, silk, and now corduroy!
