There are many ways to enjoy the outdoors or indoors and having that fun with a furry friend can make for some awesome memories. Also, knowing that you have saved a shelter dog or cat means you've saved a life from being euthanized. The Miami County Animal Shelter has some awesome dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that are in desperate need of forever homes.

This shelter takes in both strays and owner released pets that are released due to moving or other issues. The shelter includes bios for each animal that remarks on how they came to the shelter and their temperament. See a picture on their site you like, just simply click on it and you will be taken to that special animals personal page. You will be able to look at other pictures of them and read their bios.

There is a wonderful photographer by the name of Donna Meade that donates her time to taking most of the pictures on the site of animals in need. The HeARTs Speak company helps with a creative platform that links artists and animals in need and Donna Meade is one such artists. Please, consider visiting this shelter and choosing a new furry family member or maybe two, if your home and finances permit.

Also, if you are an animal rescue that can help when a dog or cat is deemed in need of rescue, please consider contacting the shelter. The shelter "Rescue Policy" is included on their Adoption fee page (link below).

Save a life! If you are unable to adopt then pass the word about the Miami County Animal Shelter and get these precious faces seen by others.
