Revealed today Sept. 1, 2014 in an article by Reid Duke on, End Hostilities is one of the newest Magic: The Gathering cards from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set Khans of Tarkir. This rare white sorcery which resets the battlefield feels like it should have been a preview card in From the Vault: Annihilation.

End Hostilities - 3WW
Destroy all creatures and all permanents attached to creatures.
Her palm flared like the eye of a waking dragon. Then all was calm.

With Supreme Verdict rotating out of Standard this fall, End Hostilities fills an important hole for a cheap white sweeper. Unlike Fated Retribution, End Hostilities won't blow up your planeswalkers which is important if you plan on running Ajani Steadfast or Elspeth, Sun's Champion. End Hostilities doesn't have the potential to be as one-sided as Mass Calcify, however you'll be able to play it two turns quicker.

Let's face it: Wrath of God is never going to be reprinted in Standard. Over the years we've had lots of variants, and Day of Judgment is the closest we'll ever get. For one more mana than Day of Judgment, we get the an added ability of also destroying all permanents attach to creatures. Specifically, we're eyeing fancy equipment such as Godsend, Haunted Platemail, Illusionist's Bracers, and Sword of Fire and Ice. End Hostilities will also take care of pesky bestow creatures like Boon Satyr, Herald of Torment, and Nighthowler.
