ArtBeast Studio claims it is a drop in arts exploration space that caters to those 6 and under, though all ages are welcome to drop in. In the open studio are the tools for every enterprising creative mind to utilize. To build confidence and express their unique brand of creativity they will find stocked shelves of objects from nature or the recycle bin, paints and brushes, glue, glitter, crayons and scissors.
However if your child prefers being creative in other areas, that is also available. For your musician, they have a room where your virtuoso will find instruments from around the world. For the future actor or actress, the drama room changes monthly and offers up creation of story lines with ever changing scenery, costumes, props and puppetry.
Offering affordable fees, ArtBeast is also a gathering place for parents that want their children to explore the arts. Offering a place to share with other parents as they sip tea, ArtBeast encourages a community of art literate children that are hungry to create and express who they are bravely.
Funds raised at ArtBeast go to a worthy cause. The funds either goes back into ArtBeast or to Tubman House, a community for homeless youth and children.
The nonprofit organization directing Tubman House is Waking the Village. An 18 month transitional living program for Sacramento's homeless parenting youth, Tubman House offers dynamic coursework, community support, healthy living and counseling so the residents leave prepared to lead their own lives.
