King of Love is a place that changes lives. Sunday, Feb. 24, King of Love, situated on Eastern Michigan University’s campus, reaches out to college students, friends and their families.
Pastor Sarah and pastor Kate care very much for EMU students, their friends and family, and you sense that when you walk in the door.
From the moment you enter the "sanctuary," in the Student Union building, until you leave, you have peace because of the presence of God that abides there.
The entire team is well organized and does things decently and in order - as the Word instructs us. The greeters, alter workers, tech team and musicians all represent the Kingdom of God well. These young folk are doing a splendid job.
Virginia Ballinger and Ashley Horton brought forth a beautiful dance to “Why,” featuring Jonathan McReynolds – the dancers end by giving God thanks.
Pastor Norfleete Shumake of Big Life (church) in Detroit, taught a strong message to the congregation on the Big Life that God wants us to have. The scripture supporting his teaching and preaching came from John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
If you are a student at EMU or on any other campus, find a church where you can get your spiritual need met as you navigate through college. You will find strength in doing so.
King of Love is University Christian Fellowship – a Chi Alpha Ministry.
