The national home improvement store, Home Depot, is now hiring. They will be adding 80,000 employment opportunities nationwide. According to a February 15 report by KWTV Channel 9 News in Oklahoma City, there will be 405 Home Depot associate positions in Oklahoma City.

According the news report, Home Depot is encouraging students, retirees, reservists and veterans to apply. Applications can be completed online at the careers page on the Home Depot website.

The positions available will vary from store to store. The home improvement store offers a military skills translator for veterans and reservists. This will match military expertise to the positions available throughout Home Depot. The military skills translator can also be found at the Home Depot website.

“This is great news for folks who are needing a job and are qualified,” Dani Wilson, from Oklahoma City, said. “Even though Oklahoma's unemployment is lower than most other states, I know a lot of people needing a job.”

The additional 80,000 employment opportunities that are currently available is to help Home Depot prepare for their spring season. At the time of publication, it was unknown if the positions will be full-time, part-time or seasonal.
